About The Program

Gershwin’s piano concerto is “re-imagined” by the Marcus Roberts Trio featuring legendary pianist Marcus Roberts, drummer Jason Marsalis, and bassist Rodney Jordan. Hailed as “the genius of the modern piano,” Roberts is known worldwide for his commitment to integrating jazz and classical idioms—much as Gershwin himself did 100 years ago. This fabulous night also features the beautiful Lullaby and the ever-popular musical travelogue An American in Paris.
